STAIRS!!!!

I couldn't be prouder! Little Miss Henslee has worked so so so hard to accomplish these darn stairs. She is a pro. Her Physical Therapist said it is equivalent to us adults doing double the height of stairs for us. She has worked so hard and it has paid off. I love this video. I love the smile on her face. I love Jesse's little jig to get Henslee motivated and excited to do the stairs. I love Nixon cheering on his big sis! I love that I am the mommy to these darling little kiddos. Man I love love love my little family . I am one lucky girl. These are the times that I feel so blessed that I get to experience these milestones with Miss Henslee. She is incredible.

About Miss Henslee

Miss Henslee is 3 years old. She is one AMAZING little girl. She smiles a lot, laughs and giggles a TON. She loves people, she loves to hug and kiss everyone. She LOVES music. She loves to be in the water. She is a big sister to her little brother Nixon. She is a daughter to her mommy and daddy who love her more than words can say. We are blessed to have Henslee through the miracle of Adoption. Henslee Rolled over at 4 months. Army crawled at 10 months and regular crawled at 17 months. She started pulling to stand at 16 months and began walking at 2 yrs old. Henslee is currently "pre-verbal" She is able to say 'mama" & "baba". She signs please to communicate with us. Henslee's fine motor skills are that of a 9-12 month old. She is starting to do well using a spoon to feed herself yogurt. She also is starting to use her pincer grasp on occasion. Henslee has had multiple blood tests including Rett Syndrome, Angelmen syndrome & Prader Willi syndrome that have all come back negative. On May 6th 2013 we were contacted By Dr Mary Jones regarding a diagnosis for Henslee. That is the day we received the diagnosis of Atypical Rett Syndrome. This blog is her mommy's way of documenting the journey we are all on.
